Adviser to the deputy chairman of the Defence Committee of the Hungarian parliament, then senior government adviser at the Prime Minister’s Office from 1998. Civil servant at the Ministry of Defence from 2000 to 2023, first as the head of the Defence Policy Department, then for eight years as deputy state secretary for defence policy and planning from 2010. Also served two terms as diplomat at the Permanent Representation of Hungary to NATO in Brussels.
