Dr. Jeni László Attila

Attila László Jeni works as a research professor at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, where he heads the Computer Vision and Behavioral Sciences Laboratory. His research interests are in the fields of computer vision and behavioral science, with a particular focus on modeling, understanding and synthesizing human movement and behavior using various sensors. He obtained his master's degree in computer science at Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary, and his PhD in 2012 at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He has won several best article awards (such as the IEEE Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI'2011) and the IEEE Conference on Automatic Face and Gesture Recognition (FG'2015) Best Paper awards) and received outstanding review awards at NeurIPS 2019, CVPR 2017 , and IEEE FG 2015 conferences. He is the co-author of more than 80 publications published in refereed journals and conferences. His research was supported by, among others, the US National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, and Facebook, Apple, Google, and Fujitsu.
